Server-specific parameters are detected more reliably, pages with thumbnails are generated more quickly, the height of the sidebar can now be specified, some <tables> were removed, user-definable path settings are improved, and more. Coming Soon: New Navigation Features

Development of some improved gallery navigation features is under way. Qdig image-display pages will be able to include a single row of thumbnail links for "nearby" images (demo). Directories with lots of images will have a thumbnail-only view (demo). Benefits: The default size of thumbnail images will be able to be larger and Qdig will be more useful for very large image collections.

New Support Documents
There are two new support documents. One is about why and how you would use the Chroot Directory feature to change the root directory of your gallery tree. The other explains how to embed Qdig galleries into your site.

New Demo Galleries has updated their web servers and the demo galleries have been moved there. Now the demo galleries are using a much more recent version of Qdig and running on a much faster platform than before. (More...)

There are new support documents on the site, including some about exceeding Support/AllowedMemorySize and Support/MaximumExecutionTime, and one with information about the Qdig Support/DiagnosticMessages. These are essentially FAQ documents for helping people resolve problems quickly. Here are all Support Documents so far.

You can password-protect your Qdig galleries (or any web document such as admin.php) using Apache's HTTP Authentication (.htaccess / .htpasswd / .htgroups). Here is a Quick-Step Guide for Configuring HTTP-Auth to get you started.
