New Development Release: Qdig 20040414

With this release the stable and development releases will once again diverge. Improvements include few new settings and a switch from HTML from XHTML. The most significant improvement is that the qdig-camera icon is now embedded in the script.

This is the latest and greatest development release of Qdig.

This release is mostly similar to Qdig 1.1.1.

Here are the differences:

The qdig-camera.ico icon file has been converted to PNG format, base64 encoded, and embedded into the index.php script. To see the icon, visit

index.php?image=cam-icon

Cute, huh? Now Qdig is a one-file script, icon and all.

Now the camera icon may be used in directory links, but not for a directories-only page. More informationabout that is here:

The script has been "converted" from HTML 4.01 to XHTML 1.0. This means there's a different Document Type Definition (DTD) and there are a few changes in the markup. Stand-alone Qdig is now worthy of those obnoxious yellow W3C icons for both XHTML and CSS.

Changes:

Embedded the icon directly into the script.
Upgraded Document Type for stand-alone gallery from HTML 4.01 to XHTML 1.0.
Added an option to set the width of the Directory Navigation Row.
Added an option to put qdig-camera icon (now embedded) in DirNav links.
