New Development Release: Qdig 20041128

This release is similar to Qdig 1.2.4, but there's a new setting to convert thumbnails on-the-fly. This allows pages with new thumbnails to appear quicker; the thumbs appear as they are generated. It also avoids having the script exceed the maximum allowable execution time.

A new setting, $thmb_onfly, allows 'on the fly' thumbnail image generation. This allows the page to appear quicker; the thumbs appear as they are generated. It also avoids exceeding the maximum allowable execution time when there are lots of thumbnails to convert.

The new feature is enabled by default. Please give it a try on a few of your galleries. Delete some thumbnails and reload a page to see how it works. As always, you're welcome to use the forums if you have any feedback.

Changes:

• Added Robin Rainton's code for converting each thumbnail in its own request. Now when thumbs need to be converted the page appears quickly and the thumbs appear one-by-one as they're converted.
